Inara joined the Kessel Run crew in February 2013. She was my first icie, her fun 'do-it-all' attitude got me hooked on this breed forever. Inara is friendly, sweet, and confident. She enjoys long runs with her 'dad', hikes, and kayaking. She is happiest when we are active. Training days are her favorites, especially agility! She is the 'mother hen' of the family, she takes her job as a watchdog very seriously. Whenever we are out in the yard she will not play or enjoy herself until she has done a full sweep of the fence perimeter to make sure everything is secure (and no birds are loitering) and no this isn’t a quiet activity. Inara is a typical vocal icie, she communicates through her voice, and barks when she plays, when she’s upset, and when she notices things she thinks I should be aware of. She is my most 'serious' icie, and her family is her priority. Though she will happily greet new people, she always has her eyes on 'her' people, if we leave the room she’s right at our heels. Inara has a lot of drive to work, she's also the highest energy of my dogs and the most eager to please, she took no work to train to be off-leash, she has always naturally stuck around and is easily called off of wildlife. She is my most biddable dog and has been the easiest to train to do anything. She will happily obey commands without food, she wants to please her people more than anything else.

Worst Traits: My most vocal dog, she is more neutral with new dogs and people vs friendly especially as she gets older, does not tolerate a long stretch of inactivity well
